In November 2014, Dr. Oetker acquired 100% stake in Nona from parent company Torto Food Industries, a leading confectionery producer in Malaysia. A new alliance, named Dr. Oetker Nona Malaysia Sdn Bhd has since been established. The acquisition makes Dr. Oetker Nona the forerunner in Malaysia food industry, with rising export to various countries in Asia.
